functionality of a blog

It appears that a blog can be functional in many ways. Not only is it a place where you can store information, but a point that others members of a group that may share common interests can visit and exchange information. This type of interaction can be very collaborative when working together on projects or research in different fields of work. This information can then be accessed 24/7 and is only restricted by the inability to access the Internet. However this obstacle can be overcome easily with many public internet access sites available through libraries and modern universities for students.

The ability to pass information to others assists in there learning which helps and reinforces the the constructiveness model of learning. As a group many tasks can be more manageable with information and ideas coming from individuals with different levels of knowledge. The point being, everyone can learn something from each other and what a fantastic way to disseminate the information quickly and easily.

  1. Hello Mr Obst,
I agree with what you have said and I also believe the obstacles of not having a computer at home or school can hinder learning when using a blog as a tool.
Another point that i believe needs to be raised as a negative towards blogging is the fact that the owner of the blog can delete his blog and as a result of that all the comments made are also deleted.
    regards
